In House Programme

Indirani College of Nursing has organized a one day State Level conference on ‘Current Concerns of Foundation in Nursing’ on 16/11/11. Nearly 8 Nursing colleges from Pondicherry have attended the Programme. The Speakers are Prof. M. J. Kumari, Vice Principal, Jipmer. Prof. Felcia Chitra, HOD Medical Surgical Nursing, MTIHS, Puducherry. Prof. Irinlight, HOD OBG, Sakunthala College of Nursing & Prof. Latha Srikanth, Vice Pincipal, ICON. We also had paper presentation on the theme and sub themes. Nearly 500 students and staffs participated in the Conference.

13-11-2010 - Sri Venkateswaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre organized a one day session on personility development. It was well attended by both teaching and Non teaching staff. It was very useful. The faculty and staff felt that it has created a clear insight about modification of behaviour using good communication technique. There was a good interaction between the resource person and the group. The group expressed there views about how to treat people whom they come across.

19-11-2010 - A one day Mind training programme was organized for the II & III year B.Sc., Nursing students. It was conducted by Lion. M.B. Josephine. District Chairperson of Lions Club. She helped the students to realize their mind power by her stimulating and interesting presentation.

07/06/2011 and 08/06/2011 – Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre organized two days soft skill Programme. It was conducted by Reddy’s Pharmaceuticals Company (Ablasha) for both teaching and non teaching staff. Seven of our faculties attended the Programme. They felt that it helps to increase the knowledge skills and attitude and problem solving technique and it was very useful for the faculty.

08/02/12 - Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and Indirani College of Nursing organized Continuing Nursing Education Programme. It was inaugurated by Chairman the presence of Director, Principal, SVMC, Medical Superintendent, Principal, ICON, Nursing Superintendent. It was organized for both Hospital Staff Nurses and ICON Faculties. It was decided that second Wednesday of every month. We will have CNE and two interesting and need based topic will be discussed. Evaluation will be done at the end of the class and cash awards will be given for the first three best Performers.

The Topic discussed on the Ist day was qualities of nurse and O2 administration. Nearly 57 of the faculties and staff were benefited.
