The candidates seeking admission to B.Sc., Nursing courses shall obtain the prescribed application form from the college and shall submit the duly filled form to the Principal of College of Nursing along with the Certificate of Medical fitness from an authorised Medical Officer stating that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the course.



The Selection of candidates will be as per the procedure recommended by the Govt. of Pondicherry from time to time.



A candidate is required to put in a minimum of 80% of attendance in both theory and practical separately in each subject before admission to the examination.



The students are required to wear the prescribed uniform during their Clinical Experiences. Two sets of Clinical uniform and one set of Community Health Nursing uniform will be provided by the college upon payment.

Educational Qualification

The candidate should have passed +2 or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC / OBC / MBC) in the following. Subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology [or) Physics, Chemistry and Botany and Zoology.



The reservation category students belonging to SC/ST/BC/MBC/OBC community shall approach for scholarships provided from Pondicherry Adi Dravida Tribal Welfare Department and Backward Classes & Minority Welfare Department, Pondicherry The necessary information to be furnished in the Application Form for the same shall be forwarded by the College to the above authorities on request.



The students are expected to give employment in Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital for a period of one year after the successful completion of the course. The appointment will be on regular basis with salary as per the Institutional scale.
